According to the Office of National Statistics, an estimated 137.3 million working days were lost due to sickness or injury in the UK in 2016. This is equivalent to 4.3 days per worker. The latest report from the Centre of Economic and Business Research shows that workplace absence is costing the UK economy £18bn in lost productivity. Workplace absence has increased year-on-year since 2011 and predictions demonstrate that this could be as high as £21bn in 2020. It’s obvious that health and wellness can have a huge financial impact on any size business.
Prevention is better than cure and a health screening can not only review an individual's health and well-being, but also possible future health risks. Many conditions often go undetected and any unusual or high readings that arise from the results can be further discussed with a GP. High cholesterol and hypertension for example, are often symptom free, so monitoring for early signs of any underlying issues is invaluable.

The results
Each person who completes a health check receives a pdf report that details the results of their tests, information on how each test measures for health risks and an action plan of strategies to improve future outcomes. The results are confidential and will only be sent directly to the individual.
For the business we will summarise the findings with an anonymous data report that highlights any patterns and potential future problems for staff well-being and absenteeism. We promote the option of returning six or twelve months later to measure if results have improved as a consequence of the health check and action plan suggestions.
How it works
Depending on the number of staff you'd like to attend in a day, one or two team members will come along to your offices to undertake the health checks. We simply require a small meeting room (2 rooms if 2 team members are required) and we will provide all the equipment necessary to conduct the tests. We can supply marketing materials in pdf and email form to help you promote the health check event, to encourage as many employees as possible to take advantage of the benefit you've provided.
